Smaller scale. Same conviction.

It's just as comfortable outside. Two Amsterdams on either side of a front door give a townhouse entrance instant gravity. A row of three lining a covered terrace pulls the eye through the length of the space. On a balcony where a full-height divider would feel too much, an Amsterdam reads as a sculpture with a plant in it — exactly the right amount of green for the scale of the space. Plant something architectural and slightly trailing on top — a young olive, a clipped boxwood, a tall grass that catches the light — and the planter recedes into supporting role while the planting takes the lead.

Every Amsterdam is hand-finished in the same automotive-grade composite fiberglass as the rest of the Jay Scotts collection. It carries the same flawless, even sheen and crisp lines from rim to base, endures from −20 °C to +50 °C without cracking or fading, and remains light enough to be repositioned by hand when the room rearranges itself around it.
