About this planter

Where the landscape turns the corner.

The Antwerp planters are the ones that stop reading as objects and start reading as architecture. Sixty-one centimetres wide, low and long, with the kind of mass that makes a planted edge feel built rather than placed. The Corner is the piece that lets that landscape language continue uninterrupted around a column, a parapet, or the right-angle of a terrace — same width, same height, same calm horizontal proportion, just turned ninety degrees so the line never breaks.
What makes it more than just a connector is that it carries weight of its own. A single Antwerp Corner sits beautifully alone at the end of a terrace or framing the corner of a courtyard — its 61 × 61 cm footprint generous enough to host a small specimen tree, a clipped boxwood ball, or a layered planting that reads as a miniature garden in one square. The 30.5 cm height keeps sightlines open over the top, which means you can plant for screening above and the planter recedes into the role of base — broad, grounded, quietly inevitable.
Where it really comes into its own is at scale. On a rooftop, set one at each turn of a planted perimeter and the entire edge of the building reads as a single composition rather than a series of objects. In a hospitality courtyard or pool deck, a corner closes a run of Antwerp planters into a continuous L or U, defining a zone without ever needing a wall. Around the entrance plaza of an office building, four corners and a run between them can carve a planted threshold from open paving — a piece of landscape architecture you assemble rather than build. The soil volume is generous enough for small trees and large shrubs, which is exactly the kind of planting that makes a project look mature on the day it opens.
Every Antwerp is hand-finished in the same automotive-grade composite fiberglass as the rest of the Jay Scotts collection. It endures from −20 °C to +50 °C without cracking or fading, and despite the architectural scale, stays light enough that a rooftop or retrofit installation doesn't require structural reinforcement. Available in all 21 standard Jay Scotts finishes, with custom colour matching on request — and engineered to pair seamlessly with the four Antwerp lengths (91.4 / 121.9 / 152.4 / 182.9 cm) for continuous, modular compositions of any shape or scale.
